Celebrating 20 years since its original release, Parlophone has issued a limited edition, coloured (translucent yellow), heavyweight vinyl pressing of Coldplay's number one debut album Parachutes.

Back in 2000, Siobhan Grogan of NME reviewed Parachutes, drawing the conclusion that the record was "accomplished, yet subtle; it works perfectly as a whole in a way all the production skills in the world couldn't replicate."

Since then, according to the British trade paper Music Week, Parachutes became "one of the most impressive debut albums ever", spawning the hit singles "Shiver", "Trouble" and of course - the inspiration for this variant - "Yellow".

With nearly 2.7 million units sold in the UK alone, Parachutes is placed at number 20 on the country's list of 20 biggest-selling albums of the 21st century. As well as clocking in at 45 on the list of 60 biggest-selling albums of all time, the LP was number 25 in Channel 4's 100 greatest albums of all time, and in 2006 at number 33 in NME's 100 greatest British albums.
