Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett's virtual band Gorillaz are back today with their eighth studio album Cracker Island, which includes guest appearances from Stevie Nicks, Bad Bunny, Beck, Thundercat and more. Townsend Music has a copy of the limited edition Picture Disc of the album to give away to one lucky winner!
Cracker Island from Gorillaz serves as the follow-up to 2020’s Song Machine, Season One – Strange Timez and was preceded by the single 'New Gold' featuring Tame Impala and Bootie Brown.

Gorillaz stop a ritualistic sacrifice and save the world in the video for their recent single, 'Silent Running'. The clip, co-directed by the animated outfit’s visual mastermind, Jamie Hewlett, and Fx Goby, finds the band infiltrating the headquarters of a shadowy group that’s captured vocalist 2-D.
Gorillaz dropped 'Silent Running', which features longtime collaborator Adeleye Omotayo, back in January, significantly increasing anticipation for this full-length release. “The path to Cracker Island isn’t easy to find ‘cos it’s underwater”, explains singer 2D, while bassist Murdoc concludes: “The hallowed tones of Cracker Island will soundtrack our collective ascension into the new dimension! JOIN ME!”
