With the launch of The Sherlocks' new Everything Must Make Sense! album pre-order campaign, which includes a stunning Picture Disc edition, it's a great time to take another look at the picture discs on Townsend Music.
Picture this: the first modern rock picture disc was released in 1969 by Metronome of Germany, entitled Psychedelic Underground - Off 2, Hallucinations. The disc compiled an assortment of artists from TheMC5 to The Doors and displayed the record's album art between two layers of clear vinyl - the world of record collecting hasn't been the same since!

Suede
Dog Man Star 30th Anniversary NAD 2024 Picture Disc

"Dog Man Star will be hailed in years to come as the crowning achievement of a line-up that reinvented English, guitar-band rock'n'roll for the 1990s" - David Sinclair, Q
