Duran Duran: Live at Hammersmith '82! - Gold Vinyl
In 1982, as 'Duranmania' was sweeping the globe following the release of their smash hit sophomore album, Rio, Duran Duran recorded and filmed one of their three London dates at Hammersmith Odeon. The audio and footage from the live show were released back in 2009 as a one-off limited edition CD/DVD but have not been released on any physical format since then.
The live version of Cockney Rebel's "Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)", was released as the UK B-side to 'The Reflex' single.
For RSD Black Friday 2022, the recording will be pressed onto vinyl for the first time ever. The release will be a strictly limited edition gold double vinyl, featuring live performances of their classic hits like 'Rio', 'Hungry Like The Wolf', 'Girls On Film' and many more.
Joe Strummer: Live at Music Millennium - 12" Vinyl
The late, great Joe Strummer performed an intimate solo set at the iconic Portland store Music Millennium in November 1999.
Music Millennium has been serving Portland since 1969 and is the oldest record store in existence in the Pacific Northwest.
The set was captured via a soundboard recording and previously only circulated through bootlegs, but now makes its way to vinyl for the first time ever for the RSD Black Friday 2022 event. Live at Music Millennium is available on limited edition 12" vinyl.
Ultravox: Rage In Eden - Steven Wilson Stereo Mix - 2CD
Rage In Eden was the fifth album by the British New Wave band Ultravox, released in 1981. Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson's 2020 mix of the album gets an exclusive release on CD and vinyl in celebration of this year's Black Friday event.
This stereo mix is taken from the Rage In Eden Deluxe CD box set release; like 2020's RSD SW mix of their Vienna album, the second disc contains an instrumental version of the album which is exclusive to this release.
Rage In Eden - Steven Wilson Stereo Mix is available exclusively for RSD Black Friday 2022 on limited edition 2LP and 2CD editions.
David Bowie: The Next Day EP - 12" Vinyl
The Next Day EP contains various album outtakes and remixes taken from David Bowie's 25th studio album The Next Day, originally released in 2013.
The RSD release features unreleased songs, 'Atomica', 'The Informer', 'Like A Rocket Man', and 'Born In A UFO', which were finally completed in the summer of 2013 after remaining unfinished during the main album sessions.
The limited edition 12" black vinyl also features two remixes of tracks 'Love Is Lost' and 'I'd Rather Be High' plus the Japanese bonus track 'The Informer'.
Madonna: Everybody - 12" Vinyl
To mark 40 years since the one and only Madonna landed on the scene in October 1982, her debut single is reissued on limited edition 12" black vinyl.
According to Matthew Lindsay of The Quietus, it was ironic that the original record sleeve did not depict Madonna on the cover (rectified for this reissue!), as she would become "the face of the 80s."
This Madge must-have features the newly mastered version of the single along with the Dub version on a 12" vinyl single.
Yard Act: The Overload - Picture Disc
Witty and wonderful Leeds band Yard Act dropped their Mercury-nominated debut album The Overload back in January. The album received glowing reviews from critics, with Mojo describing it as "an exhilarating record".
As well as the widespread critical acclaim The Overload received upon its release, it was shortlisted for the 2022 Mercury Prize.
The brilliantly amusing and articulate debut record features no less than five singles: 'The Overload', 'Land of the Blind', 'Payday', ' Rich' and 'Pour Another'. The Overload now arrives on a limited edition picture disc for the first time ever for RSD Black Friday 2022.
