Slipknot - Iowa Coke Bottle Clear Vinyl Giveaway
Updated: Jun 25
Iowa is the platinum-selling sophomore album from the nu-metal legends Slipknot. Released originally in August 2001, the record was produced by "the Godfather of nu-metal" Ross Robinson. We have one copy of the latest reissue on Coke Bottle Clear Double Heavyweight Vinyl to give away!
Following the unexpected success of Slipknot, the band's game-changing 1999 self-titled debut album, Slipknot became a worldwide sensation and began writing their follow-up; Iowa was to be the band's darkest, angriest and heaviest record to date.
The band developed the album during their darkest days. Percussionist Shawn Crahan admitted: "When we did Iowa, we hated each other. We hated the world. The world hated us."
Though the band was in terrible shape throughout the process of creating the record, they went on to receive Grammy nominations for songs 'Left Behind' and 'My Plague' and the album debuted in the Top 10 of the charts in nine countries, peaking at No. 3 in the U.S. It's since been certified platinum in the U.S, U.K., and Canada.
