Liverpudlian alt-legends Space are currently on tour across the UK and to coincide, Demon Records have proudly released the first vinyl issue of their stupendous sophomore album Tin Planet. To celebrate, we are giving away a limited edition copy of the album on Clear Silver Splatter vinyl - with a print signed by Space!
Space formed back in 1993 and enjoyed success with their 1996 debut album Spiders, which hit #5 in the UK charts. Their sophomore album arrived a year later following a tumultuous year for the group; Tin Planet was a continuation of the eclectic blend of musical styles explored on the band's debut but with a moodier edge. "It's still Space, the strangeness, and the stories; it's just darker, and well, better." is how lead singer Tommy Scott described the album.
On its release the album reached #3 in the UK album charts and received both commercial and critical acclaim, receiving a rare five-star rating from Q Magazine. The album featured four UK Top 40 singles including 'The Ballad of Tom Jones', 'Avenging Angels', 'Begin Again', and 'Bad Days'.
