Zuzu - Queensway Tunnel
For Fan Of: BLOXX, The Lathums
Fast-rising Liverpool guitar-pop princess Zuzu has announced the release of her debut album Queensway Tunnel, which lands this November. The album, named after the road tunnel under the River Mersey, captures the singer's take on everything, ranging from mental health to sci-fi. Excitement for the album ramped up after Zuzu joined the likes of Blossoms and The Lathums in playing one of England's first gigs after lockdown earlier this year at Sefton Park, Liverpool.
Alongside the announcement, Zuzu shared a brand new track 'My Old Life'. Speaking on the single, she says: "This song is about a particular period where I had to dig really deep to find enough self-worth to move on from an emotionally exhausting situation that - at the time - felt like the end of the world." The captivating Liverpool star-to-be will be playing at Warrington's Neighbourhood Weekender, along with a handful of UK dates this September.
"My Old Life really helped me to shake off all of the toxic energy I was holding onto and truly let go." - Zuzu
