mary in the junkyard - This Old House EP

For Fans Of: English Teacher, NewDad

mary in the junkyard’s stellar reputation rapidly grew after a series of rowdy live performances in London last year, with over 20 of those being at Brixton’s Windmill, as well as Green Man and End of the Road festivals, before they released their debut track 'Tuesday' to rave reviews across the UK music press.

The London-based trio – Clari Freeman-Taylor, Saya Barbaglia and David Addison - have announced details of This Old House with the latest single 'Marble Arch', the second preview of their debut EP, due out on May 9th.

"This Old House is all about the memories that exist in the walls and floors of places, what it feels like to be home and away from it”- Clari Freeman-Taylor

This Old House can be pre-ordered on the Official mary in the junkyard Store, available on Limited Edition Eco-Mix Vinyl alongside a T-Shirt bundle.

DEADLETTER - Hysterical Strength

For Fans Of: Do Nothing, FEET

Yorkshire post-punks DEADLETTER have quickly established themselves in the UK live circuits with previous EP releases and now comes the announcement of their debut album, Hysterical Strength, alongside lead single, 'Mere Mortal'.

Produced by British producer Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Adele) the album is full of art-punk that sits more on the dark side with motorik rhythms, angular guitars and lyrics about social issues and hardships of life.

"Being able to take something disgusting or disgraceful and make it sound nice through the power of music, that juxtaposition appeals to me" - Zac Lawrence

Pre-order Hysterical Strength on Exclusive Transparent Red Coloured Vinyl and Cassette. Exclusive signed prints are included with all bundle pre-orders plus access to pre-sale tickets for the UK tour. It is also available on Pearl White Vinyl from the Townsend Music Store.

Sick Love - Champagne

For Fans Of: Saint Agnes, Garbage

Sick Love, led by frontwoman Rebecca Geary alongside Conor McLoughlin, Sean O’Connor and Cormac O’Neill, draw inspiration from the likes of Paramore, Blondie, No Doubt, Hole and Garbage, as well as pop influences like MARINA and Haim, through to hip-hop artists like Cardi B.

The group spent the last two years writing and producing Champagne, their first full-length record, having developed significant early progress with the release of their initial series of singles in 2023. Out on May 3rd, they recorded and produced the album in a farm cottage in Ireland, pushing the boundaries creatively and sonically. The result is an album that feels authentic and true to the heart of who Sick Love is.

Champagne is available to pre-order on Coloured Vinyl alongside exclusive merchandise bundles.

Brògeal

For Fans Of: Gallus, The Mary Wallopers

Scottish folk-punk Brògeal are set to release their second EP with six new tracks getting their first pressing to vinyl. The five-piece band have been gaining quick traction with a sold-out show at Glasgow's King Tuts along with support shows with The Mary Wallopers, Spector and The Lathums.

Forming in Falkirk out of the ashes of high school bands, Brògeal came together over their love of Scottish and Irish folk music, punk and garage rock, adding banjo and mandolin to electric guitars, finding their own unique voice on the way.

"We recorded the songs pretty consistently, even though it was done live. It was just two or three takes, every tune. I feel that this EP channels the live energy of the show, which is something we wanted to capture"  - Daniel Harkins on Clash

Brògeal is available to pre-order on hand-signed and numbered Cream Vinyl alongside an Embroidered T-Shirt bundle.

The Rolling People - Before It's Gone

For Fans Of: The K's, The Sherlocks

Stockport-based band The Rolling People have been making huge strides with their infectious energy resulting in sold-out shows in London, Sheffield, Glasgow and Leeds and now the teenagers have an upcoming headline show at the O2 Ritz, Manchester.

The Mancunians are gearing up for their EP Before It's Gone, set for release on May 31st. Packed with five tracks, this offering is a blend of nostalgic Rock & Roll and sharp indie vibes. Expect anthemic guitars and euphoric vocals, making for an unforgettable sonic journey.

"We wrote ‘Before It’s Gone’ as a continuation of our new chapter as a band, exploring a richer sound. I wanted to write a song that had a massive lifting chorus with a more ballady, but still driving and heavy with the feeling we are on a journey to grab our chance before it disappears." - Charlie McNichol

Before It's Gone is available on Red Vinyl alongside their Manchester O2 Ritz Gig Ticket and T-Shirt.
